HOW TO ENTER
- To be eligible to enter, individuals must purchase any specially marked BACARDI Superior bottle or BACARDI & Cola 375ml 6-pack from selected off premise venues nationally and collect the unique code found on the specially marked participating products between Monday, 30th November 2009 and close of business on Monday 22nd February 2010. Unique codes are found on promotional neck tags on BACARDI Superior bottle and inside 6-packs of BACARDI & Cola 375ml.
- To enter, individuals must then either: (a) enter online by visiting www.bacardiexpress.com following the prompts to the competition entry page, inputting the requested details including the unique code and submitting the fully completed entry form; OR (b) send an SMS to 1991 7599 containing their unique code, full name and postcode (in that order) by 23:59 AEDST on Monday 22nd February 2010. Premium SMS cost is 55c. Entrants must have premium service access. SMS helpline: 1800 254 627.
Entrants must retain their original purchase receipt(s) for ALL entries as proof of purchase. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the promotional period but prior to entry.
BONUS ENTRIES
Once an entrant has submitted a valid entry into the prize draw, they will receive notification from the Promoter within a week of their initial entry, providing them with instructions on how to obtain three bonus additional entries into the prize draw. Entrants will receive instructions from the Promoter via either SMS or email (depending on their method of entry) advising them to purchase another BACARDI Superior bottle or BACARDI & Cola 375ml 6-pack from a selected off premise venue. All entrants will be eligible for three bonus entries into the prize draw each week during the promotional period. In order for the bonus entries to be valid, the purchase receipt must clearly specify that the additional product was purchased after the entrant received the email or SMS message from the Promoter.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Entry is only open to Australian residents who:
- are aged 18 years or over;
- are eligible to travel between Thursday, 25th March 2010 and Sunday, 28th March 2010 and
- agree to receive further communication about the promotion via SMS and/or email.
Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process (including but not limited to tampering by way of use of techniques designed to avoid the payment of SMS costs). Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
- Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
- Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one entry permitted per specified purchase requirement (unless otherwise indicated); (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements; (c) limit of three bonus entries per person per week; (d) only one unique code per entry is permitted; (e) the same unique code cannot be used more than once; and (f) unrecognised codes will be deemed invalid.
- Entrants must retain their original purchase receipt(s) for all entries as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all entries when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of ALL of an entrant’s entries and forfeiture of any right to a prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the promotional period but prior to entry.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the entrant will be deemed to be the person in whose name the mobile phone and/or internet account is held.
- Premium SMS cost is 55c. Entrants must have premium service access. For help using the premium SMS service, call the helpline 1800 254 627. SMS winners will be contacted by SMS and/or phone and the Promoter will record their address details so that the prize may be awarded. SMS entries via the Internet are ineligible. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotion database and NOT at the time of transmission by the entrant.
- Promotion commences Monday, 30th November 2009 and ends for purchases at close of business on Monday 22nd February 2010. Entries close 23:59 AEDST on Monday, 22nd February 2010. The draw will take place at Message Media, Level 22, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000 on Thursday, 25th February 2010 at 12pm AEDST. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn. The Major Prize winner will be notified by telephone, mail and the Major Prize winner’s name will be published in The Australian on Thursday, 4th March 2010. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- MAJOR PRIZE: The first valid entry drawn will win a trip for two (2) adults aboard the BACARDI Express Train and tour with five (5) of Australia’s top bands valued at up to $6,000 (depending on point of departure). Bands touring on the train will be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. The BACARDI Express Train departs from Brisbane on Thursday, 25th March 2010 and travels through Coffs Harbour and Newcastle before arriving at Sydney on Saturday, 27th March 2010. Train will stop at each of the above destinations and the winner (and his/her companion) will have the opportunity to watch the bands perform exclusive gigs at each stop.
Prize includes:
- One (1) night twin share accommodation at a three (3) star (or above), accommodation in Brisbane, as determined by the Promoter in it’s absolute discretion;
- One (1) night twin share accommodation on the BACARDI Express Train;
- One (1) night twin share accommodation at a three (3) star (or above) accommodation in Sydney, as determined by the Promoter in it’s absolute discretion;
- Two (2) x VIP passes to all of the exclusive gigs during the BACARDI Express Train tour event;
- All meals and some beverages as provided on the BACARDI Express train; &
- The chance to meet and greet the five (5) bands travelling on the BACARDI Express.
If the winner is not from Brisbane, the prize includes economy airfares from the winner's nearest capital city to Brisbane. If the winner is not from Sydney, the prize includes economy airfares from Sydney to the winner’s nearest capital city.
If the winner is from Brisbane, then the prize does not include transport (including airfares) to the BACARDI Express Train departure point in Brisbane, and that component of the prize is not redeemable for cash.
If the winner is from Sydney, then the prize does not include transport (including airfares) from the BACARDI Express Train arrival point in Sydney, and that component of the prize is not redeemable for cash.
Spending money, meals (other than those mentioned above), insurance, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. Prize must be taken to coincide with the BACARDI Express Train event taking place between Thursday, 25th March 2010 and Saturday, 27th March 2010 and is subject to booking and flight availability.
- The winner (and his/her companion) must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize.
- Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Winner may be required to present credit card at time of accommodation check in. If for any reason the winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash.
- In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority. Subject to the terms and conditions of the participating prize provider(s), if for any reason a winner does not, once the prize has been booked, take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
- Entry and continued participation in this promotion is subject to the licensee’s liquor serving policy. The Promoter advocates the responsible service and consumption of alcohol.
- The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy responsibly. - Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
- If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
- The “Meet & Greet” VIP access passes awarded as part of the prize provides the winner (and his/her companion) with an opportunity to meet the five (5) bands travelling on the BACARDI Express train, and an opportunity to have a photograph taken with the bands. These elements of the prize are not guaranteed and are subject to the goodwill of the bands on the day. The Promoter accepts no responsibility and will not offer any alternative in the event that these elements of the prize cannot be offered for any reason.
- Total prize pool value is up to $6,000.
- The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
- A draw for the prize, if unclaimed, may take place on Tuesday, 9th March 2010 at the same time and place as the original draw, in order to award a prize of equivalent value, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. In the case of the major prize being awarded in the unclaimed prize draw, the subsequent winner’s name will be published in The Australian on Monday, 15th March 2010.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

- As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner (and his/her companion) may be required to sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.

To claim, individuals must visit www.bacardiexpress.com.au, follow the prompts to the competition claim page, input the requested details including first name, last name, date of birth, State/Territory, email address, mobile number and the Bacardi Express concert venue they would like to attend (Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle or Sydney) and submit the fully completed claim form during the promotional period.
Claimants will only be eligible to receive a ticket to the concert venue they have selected at the time of submitting their claim (if they are a successful claimant).

- the first three (3) individuals from the remaining States/Territories that submit a valid claim
will each be awarded one (1) ticket to the Bacardi Express Coffs Harbour Concert valued at $40.00.
Newcastle Concert
From the claimants who elected the Newcastle concert upon submitting their claim:
- the first one-hundred and twenty-two (122) individuals from NSW/ACT that submit a valid claim; and
- the first three (3) individuals from the remaining States/Territories that submit a valid claim
will each be awarded one (1) ticket to the Bacardi Express Newcastle Concert valued at $40.00.
Sydney Concert
From the claimants who elected the Sydney concert upon submitting their claim:
- the first one-hundred and forty-seven (147) individuals from NSW/ACT that submit a valid claim; and
- the first three (3) individuals from the remaining States/Territories that submit a valid claim
will each be awarded one (1) ticket to the Bacardi Express Sydney Concert valued at $40.00.
- The total potential prize pool in each State/Territory is: up to $38,160 in QLD; up to $111,240 in NSW/ACT; and up to $4,320 (in each of VIC, TAS, NT, SA and WA).
- Winner is responsible for all costs associated with travel to and from the concert venue. Flights are not included as part of the reward.
- Offer is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual offer and service providers.
- If for any reason a claimant does not take an element of the offer by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the offer or that element of the offer will be forfeited.

- Entrants must then follow the prompts to collect points by performing any of the tasks contained in the tables below (as applicable) during the promotional period.

- This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. The entrant with the most accumulated points at 5.00pm AEDST each Friday from 22/01/10 to 12/03/10 will be eligible to win the weekly prize. The entrant with the highest number of points at the end of the promotional period will win the major prize.
- Entrants are not permitted to combine their points together.
- The weekly prize will vary from week to week and will consist of Bacardi merchandise, t-shirts and cds valued at up to $25 (depending on the prize awarded). There will be a total of eight (8) weekly prize winners, one (1) for each week of the promotional period. The allocation of weekly prizes will be at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
- In the event of a tie between two (2) or more entrants for a weekly prize the winner will be the entrant with the highest number of friends on their train. - In the event of a tie between two (2) or more entrants for the major prize the winner will be the entrant with the highest number of Facebook updates mentioning Bacardi Express at the end of the promotional period. - The major prize is a trip for two (2) adults aboard the BACARDI Express Train valued at up to $3,500 (depending on point of departure). The BACARDI Express Train will depart from Brisbane on 25/03/10 and will travel through Coffs Harbour and Newcastle before arriving to Sydney on 27/03/10.
Prize includes:
- One (1) night twin share accommodation at a three (3) star accommodation in Brisbane;

- To be eligible to enter, individuals must purchase any BACARDI & Cola 6 pack or BACARDI Superior 700ml bottle from a participating Thirsty Camel outlet between 08/02/10 and close of business on 22/02/2010.

HOW TO ENTER
To enter, individuals must visit www.bacardiexpress.com.au during the promotional period, follow the prompts to the competition entry page, then:
- Watch two (2) video clips posted on the website;
- Answer all questions relating to those video clips correctly; and
- Input their requested personal details including name, address, date of birth and State/Territory of residence
and submit the fully completed entry form during the promotional period.
Two (2) new video clips will be posted onto the website for each week of the promotional period. Individuals who do not answer the questions relating to the video clips correctly will not be entered into the draw.
